How To Guide MAME complete ROM set 2022

Follow the steps and start your Rom Completely.

1. Basic

  1. Download and install MAME (https://www.mamedev.org/)
  2. Know that:
  3. MAME considers CHD files as ROM files, CHDs are just bigger ROMs
  4. MAME doesn’t care where CHDs or ROMs are placed as long as all ROM/CHD directories are added to the rom path configuration.
  5. It means you can add torrent directories to MAME, update MAME database while downloading ROMs/CHDs one by one, also you can choose which ROM to download first, read how to that below.

2. Download ROM’s & CHD – Mame 0.246 pleasuredome

Download and install each plugin manually and set up your ideal MAME, e.g. visit https://www.progettosnaps.net/snapshots/ and download [Snap > Full-Set 0.240 (pS_snap_full_240.zip)] and [Titles > Full-Set 0.240 ( pS_titles_full_240.zip)] and smaller update packages 0 , 24x. Unzip the snap zip, find the directory containing the 40,000 .png files, and move all the .png files into the MAME[snap] directory. Unzip the titles, find the directory containing the 40,000 .png files, and move all the .png files to MAME’s [titles] directory. snap and title .png have exactly the same file name, so don’t mix them up. Download the cheat.zip from (http://cheat.retrogames.com/mame_downloads.htm), unzip it to the MAME cheats directory.
